We've had a vision for a while now to build community around location intelligence instead of around technology. So kicking off Location Intelligence 2019 is a great step in the right direction.

More than 140 people joined us at Vodafone Xone for a day to celebrate how we use location intelligence to make our lives, our businesses/organisations and our world a better place.

We enjoyed excellent presentations from Pip Gilbert (EROAD), Hirini Tane (Maori Maps) Miles McConway (Environment Canterbury), Kris Herbert (Placecasting) and our very own Kurt Janssen (Orbica) in the morning, showing how location intelligence is applied practically in their work. In the afternoon we had workshops focused on AI vs remote sensing, How to Build a Webmap, GIS in business and QGIS.

A very big thank-you to all who made it possible: Ryan (the Lion) Ashton for your MC skills, and our sponsors: Vodafone Xone, Firstname, BDO, Canterbury Maps, Duncan Cotterill, Friday Creative, LINZ and Media Suite.
